27 Aug 2016, STARMETRO - THE Malaysian Indian Network of Entrepreneurs Association (1Mine) donated RM10,000 to Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah at its first charity screening of Tamil blockbuster Kabali at NU Sentral in Brickfields.
1Mine president Datuk S. Gopinath who presented a mock cheque to Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah co-founder Uma Devi, also celebrated his birthday with donors and supporters who were present at the cinema hall.
Also present was Treasury secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.
Gopinath said 1Mine was glad to have chosen Kabali as the movie for this particular charity project because of its content and message to local Indians.
“It is our collective responsibility to create a better, safer and guaranteed future for our next generation,” he said.
1Mine has, to-date, carried our several programmes for children with special needs.
